    Sling & Rigging Hardware Inspector

    Participants will be trained to identify sling and rigging hardware types, components and removal from service criteria per ASME, DOL-OSHA, association standards and manufacturer recommendations.

    Lift-It® Manufacturing will present Sling and Rigging Hardware Inspector training at the Lift-It® Learning Center in Pomona, CA:

     

    • November 5-6, 2019

     

    Sling & Rigging Hardware Inspector - 16 Hours

    Sling and Rigging Hardware Inspection features classroom instruction and hands on inspection exercises. Synthetic, wire rope and chain slings, as well as rigging hardware (eyebolts, swivel hoist rings, hooks, shackles, turnbuckles and wire rope clips) are examined. Sling inspectors are also trained in the comparative advantages and limitations of sling and rigging hardware types. Sling identification (tagging), proof testing, repair, inspection systems, techniques, removal from service criteria from an ASME, DOL-OSHA, industry association and manufacturer’s perspective, and recordkeeping are also covered. Damage identification with an emphasis on cause and corrective action to mitigate damage is an integral part of the instruction. Participants will be tested and receive a certificate of achievement issued by Lift-It.
